I was lucky today to be able to witness a special parade of the Portuguese Guarda Naçional Republicana (GNR) in Sintra.I will post some more shots over the next few days..
The uniforms (new and old) are quite smart – Nobody had a problem with me being there and taking shots – if anyone from GNR sees these; I hope you like them!!!!

A little bit - but they are really policement with some military background.. The have GNR stationed in East Timor... Those I met were a nice bunch of guys!!!
