I love the Princess and the Frog!
I mean, I love a lot of Disney movies, but it's really up there along with Tangled. So it was high time I did a fan art piece for it. This is also sort of a continuation of the unofficial couples collection I started way back when. It was a bit of a tussle figuring out what I wanted to do for this piece cause there were just far too many beautiful scenes and backdrops to choose from in that movie. I ended up going with this one for two reasons. The first one being, I wanted to draw these outfits (although the blue dress is my favorite). And the second reason, I noticed there was an overwhelming amount of blue and purple night scenes in my gallery. So you know, I thought I would shake it up. This piece is also sort of a return of the lineless style I had a short stint with about the same time last year. I don't know. It's sort of growing on me and I might employ it more often.
I know I always say this, but this was really fun to do. It was a breath of fresh air to go back to my roots of making some fan art and showing my favorite cartoons some love. I hope you guys enjoy this piece as much as I did making it.

AHHHH CRISSY!! You did a Princess and the Frog piece and I'm in love! I know I've mentioned this before, but I didn't expect to love this Disney film as much as I did, and in fact the more I see it, the more it becomes one of my all-time favorites too! From the "old-school" 2D cel artwork, to the unique Voodoo take on the fairytale, right on down to the adorable cast and fun storytelling, it surely was an adventure. And I also appreciate the fact Tiana started as a working girl, not a princess, and Naveen was a hoot, the charming playah! XD Thank you so much for giving this great couple some love and attention!!
And what a romantic artwork! The way they're lovingly gazing into each others' eyes is breathtaking and really makes me wanna shout: "Go on and kiss the girl!"

Great art on great Disney movie. I love the idea of these two together. It so nicely done to. Your art can make any art fan smile. It truly magical tribute to all who love seeing art like the ones you do. I know that always be thankful that you take time to make such great art. Maybe you might try one with Princess Jasmine and Aladdin in future. I know that many works art like to see done but just so broke that it not funny. I absolutely love this scene where Tiana and Naveen get "married" by Mama Odie. And I think it's a very creative twist in that when Naveen kisses his now-wife Tiana, he kissed a princess and thus the two return to human form.
