Description My entry for the nouveau contest going down at . Since I'm still working on that 30 day OTP with Zuko and Katara I didn't want to stray too far away from it, so I chose to draw Katara.

Originally I was just going to use her outfit from season three, but then as the picture progressed her Painted Lady outfit started to seem like a much better fit. Most nouveau pieces use more geometric shapes, but I felt there needed to be something that looked a bit more fluid, like water is, than those shapes in this piece, so I put little curvy things in the back.

I hope you all like it. Now back to work on that OTP stuff. Yay!

Beautiful shading and dynamism! Mucha himself would be proud

Speaking of Mucha, water was such a common theme in his artwork that it just seems natural to have a waterbender as the subject of your picture.

Thank you. I appreciate your comment so much. The shading was fun to do and I learned a lot from doing it.  

I didn't know that. Cool fun fact. I'm glad the piece kind of keeps in line with his work even if unintentionally. He's a fantastic artist.
