I wonder if Disneyland has ever said it was a representation of the french history?

This picture really grabbed my imagination; which I'm sure is what the Disney designers were shooting for. The bright greens of the law with the reds and blues of the castle, definitely gives it that storybook feel. I think what really grabbed my attention was how vibrant they appear in your picture. I'm not sure if they really are as vibrant as I'm seeing them, or the contrast against the grey cloud amplifies it.
Whatever the source I saw your picture and immediately thought of all the stories I've read where the idyllic kingdom was being invaded by some evil force. In all of those the evil army's approach was heralded by dark ominous skies. That's exactly what your picture looked like to me. I don't know if that's the moment you were trying to capture or not, but it's what I saw.
On a less fanciful note, I think the composition in this is great. The slightly off center castle is wonderfully framed by the gray sky above and the greens of the lawn below. Those pinks and blues stand out vividly and immediately draw the viewers attention.
My only real criticism is that there's a few tourists showing up around the castle. I can't imagine this is avoidable in a Disney park though. Plus I might just dislike them because I'm still wrapped up in the story my imagination conjured up....
I found your picture on AmateurArtistArmy

First thank you for the critique, that's surely the most constructive comment of all my deviations
Yes I like that mysterious and dramatic look when you play with the clouds contrast, and I didn't modify much colors saturation.
Indeed you have to deal with the crowd in Disneyland Paris, but I can easily delete the tourists with Photoshop, what do you think?

You certainly caught the dramatic look in this one! I didn't think you did mess with the colors on it, everything looked very natural. I figured something in the various contrasting colors just made things pop out the way they did. I don't really know how to explain what I'm thinking here, sorry.
Given that I immediately jumped into a story when I saw the picture, I would say to cut them out since it heightens the story. I'm not sure what you were after when you took the picture. Bottom line don't make any changes unless they move it further toward improving your vision for it.
That's a pretty wishy-washy answer I know, but I don't want to push you to making changes you didn't feel were necessary. Its a great picture as it is already, there isn't really a need to change it at all.

It's a place you should go at least once in your life I think, really another world! Maybe you live next to a disney park in California or Florida?

I live in Florida so I've gone to that one many times. I've also been to the one in Cali. But I would love to visit a different country park because they have the different princess castles and what not.
