I changed this one up a bit since submitting it to SWAG. I got a lot of feedback that she looked too much like a superhero, so I tried to push the Jedi aspect a bit more with the turned-on lightsabers and darkening her clothes. This is not any specific character, just an idea I had one day.Related content

Update on this character.
I have my Miraluka going through the struggle and seduction of the dark side right now as she faces emotions of love and heart break.
And yes still using your Miraluka piece as her avatar. She's been on quite a few adventures. I have gotten a lot of compliments on your artwork and have told them where to find you.

I love this species and I happen to like the costume. It does vaguely resemble a superhero but thats refreshing for Star Wars art.

i was looking for illustrated star wars char for my rpg (i'm making a campaigne on the "legacy" part of star wars ans fall on this web page, you do really awesome job.
but to say the truth, i don't think miraluka can have red haired head i always see white or blonde white.
I'm still looking for a more typical miraluka... Something like you noble high elfe but in miraluka not elfe with the hood down on her neck soo we can see her face clearly.

Excellent pic, but not too fond of the visor looking like she has eyes beneath it. The Star Wars nerd in me knows that Miraluka do not have eyes, but still an excellent pic.
Love the hair, the outfit. Definitely has the Star Wars feel.

Not a huge fan of the lack of top, but I really like her hair, pants and stance. I really dig those eye covers too, they should all wear them, it makes them look cool.

Don't worry, she uses the Force to keep anything from falling out...lol. Actually, you're not alone; the biggest complaint about this piece is that she's too sexy for a jedi. I'm keeping that in mind for future female jedis I draw. Thanks for the feedback!

I first saw the one over on SWAG, and I must say, this one is much better (not that the original there was bad, not at all!). The mood is just a lot deeper here. Good job!

Thanks so much! It was such an experiment to see if I could successfully paint a background, but once I turned on the lightsabers I felt like it was working. I've been working on doing better and more complex backgrounds ever since. Thanks for the feedback!

Her hair are lovely! I just love your hair technique.
I think it's a great Mirakula design... they are always drawn wraped up the same way in capes, which make your design more original...I got a Kirakula Jedi to design for my RPG character's story background to design too...and I was about to do the same as everybody else...But I think you inspired me! thanks a lot!

Im am quite ashamed of my lack of star Wars rpg illustration production since a couple of months...I must kick my butt once and for all and draw again.
Dont worry about the being kicked out thing! It wont happen! French people are so nice!
I went to Belgium last year, I speak french and people there had a hard time to understand me! (Cuz Im from Quebec and our accent and their are sssssssooooooooooo different)

Thanks! I like it better too. Adds a lot more atmoshpere and mood. Although once I did it to this piece, suddenly I had to do it to all of my pieces, so now I'm in the process of revamping all of my SWAG characters with new backgrounds and environments.

Travis - you should make your images bigger, so people can see the detail better. It's not unusual for a deviation to approach or surpass 1 meg.

Oh, I absolutely love that. That might be the best Jedi character design I've ever seen! I love how you can acutally see her hair and body, even though she's Miraluka. The visor thingy is much cooler than the traditional hood.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I wish I could say that all of that was planned from the beginning, but actually I had this idea for a costume, then at the last minute decided I didn't want her to be a plain old human, so I decided...she's a Miraluka! And then added the visor because I didn't want to cover up the hair with a hood...haha. Hence, her ensemble is not very Miraluka-like. Glad you like it
