This is really nice, full of emotion and it really seems to capture her personality.

for a second there i had to think about what piece you commenting on lol. wow, that one was done a long time ago. she was a wonderful girl to draw. unfortunately the original was destroyed, frame broke, glass tore into the paper. never could find the image used, nor the model to try to redo it. thank you for the kind comment

Reminds me of a Bill Mack piece with the white and shadows, femine figure and frame. (he is a contemporary favorite of mine)

This is a very lovely piece, although it looks a bit "tipsy" but I think that might be because you didn't continue to draw on the left side of the figure.

Certainly the level of rendering is fantastic, but I think you may have been a little TOO faithful to the photo because the foreshortening on her legs looks a bit strange, I'm guessing it was photo distortion -- since I can see you are very talented and reproducing the photos.

its okay joe when u submit work do u use a scannor that has a larger size than A4?

ArtbyJOgle In reply to deelou [2005-03-24 20:48:24 +0000 UTC]

I use a digital camera. Most of my drawings are too large and will not fit on the scanner bed and do not scan the same way when I try to piece several scans of the same drawing together.

WOW! that's an amazing drawing! it's so perfect for a charcoal drawing. i'm especially fond of the face. many artists can do a flawless picture, but the face is awkward looking. you did the face perfectly along with everything else. great work!
