Brief History:

Raised by a skilled warrior from an influential clan of feudal Japan, Daigoro had grown to become a fighter paid for his superb combat skills yet had settled his time as a father and husband for his wife and child. His clan paid him well and respected his undertakings and devotions, yet as wars perpetuated his clan was devoured by corrupt political figures at side with the European supremacy. Taking his personal revolt against these powers, he was captured and taken to the guillotine, his neck and arms locked to its frame for him to witness his wife and child murdered helplessly. He watched them, his eyes brimmed with rage and sorrow, until in his last strength he managed to break from his bondage. Yet seconds too late, his family lay dead on the ground.

Gathering his wife and child in his arms, he wept, surrounded by those bodies of those he had killed in his rage. And from the silence a woman clothed in her long-sleeved kimono emerged and spoke:

“Do not mourn, for fate has granted you another chance of revenge. Do not let these gallows be the cause to your frailty, but draw your strength from them as you go forward.”

With these words he stood, taking the rest of the guillotine with him as he buries his wife and child to their graves. And moving ahead he turns to the brothel where he has last seen the woman who spoke to him in his bereavement …
