Thank you for a wonderful comment....I did a small color study while campong there and between that and some photos and my impression of the area created the larger one in the studio. This piece took "Best Landscape" in th National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society Best of America Competition.

shadow detail is amazing, i love the whole lighting from bright in the background to the dim under the tree itself... it ha s great depth to it also... nice work
