Description Jody, the gray squirrel of "very few redeeming qalities" as it has been put. This character is one of Kayleen Connell's. She has done so much art for me over the years, and normally I do gift pics back of Katarina, so this particular time I chose her character, Jody.

This pic is 9 years old ( goddamn ) but is one of the few I don't gag at upon being confronted with it. I like the shading in her tail and the way the pencil work in her jeans is passable for denim texture. O, cheap copy paper, you yet again yield decent results.

SQUIRREL!!!!!

I love her pose and expression!! Not a squirrel to mess with, I guess

I really li ke the colouring.. especially the tail, where the pencil storkes make the fur look.. errrr.. furry ^^
This is the stage I want to get to next in terms of my colourings.. I mean, I dearly love my polycromos.. but speak of it, I need to get some good paper.. stuck on copy paper as well at the moment.. But I actually like it when I draw clothing.. adds to the texture

This picture is pretty old now; I still remember sitting in my campus apartment coloring this in Los Angeles while still in Animation school.  It's funny how some pictures I clearly remember where I was and what I was doing while working on them.  Despite how old it is now, I still like this one.

This was actually done on copy paper.  Sometimes on a whim- you can still produce pretty good work on it!  These days however, I typically reach for Bristol or media board if I'm going to do something that is commission work or full color.  This was done with Prismacolor pencil, as well.  If you don't want to invest in those ( they're not the be all and end all of colored pencils as some will have you believe ) there are still some very good brands of pencil sets out there if you do a little research

I like it. The shading is well done. It's a little odd seeing pencil art compared to your digital work. Just me, I guess.
