Indeed! I wish Nintendo could invent a new Zelda game with a totally different concept, just like yours. Or something where the characters interact in another way, like Ganon and Link being friends, for example. Or just giving a reason for Ganon to be evil, or Link not caring about the world and so on...

The games take place over vastly different periods on the timeline. If you had to place mine (which I don't necessarily feel the need to) on it, it would be over one thousand years after OOT.

...normal lengths of time? The heroes in all the games aren't the same person. Each Link is different, each story taking place in a different time, possibly completely removed from the others. Just like any re-telling of a Legend.
