I'm not a great expert in the history of weapons, but sure of the reliability of this picture. The specialists were my counselors who provided me with samples of arms corresponding to the time of events in Dunkirk.

Ah, I see. I guess it would make sense to use a few older rifles at the beginning of the war. Like how the US used the Springfield 1903 for a WW1 and the first year or so of WW2.
Thanks for the reply.

Actually, the SMLE nΒ°4 were in minority. No sufficient number had been produced to completely replace the Mk III (the WW1 model), and there were still many, many MkIIIs available in the barracks, or sitting in their crates as parts waiting to be assembled.

Yes Its tragic ... not to mention cities, mines with coal and other resources, villages, railways, train stations and other buildings and places destroyed by the Nazis . But I don't know if we have to blame the russians for their help on the Nazis conquering some countries in Europe such as Poland,Norway, etc. What if we blame the Nazis for invading Russia with operation Barbarossa ... Hitler thought too much that he could take Russia in just "days" ... heh, he thought he could take the world in just minutes with his Blitzkrieg but he was so close to achieve his goal (he rather have conquered England in change) .

I did mention at Volkssturm sets comparison that the artworks were great, but with Zvezda somebody forgot to put his signature there - So I couldn't aknowledge him for a great picture. Such a pity.
