Description
First page of what I guesstimate will be somewhere around eight to ten pages. I've only laid out three and a half so far, so I'm not entirely sure.
I've been too sick from the flu to write anything new, or to draw anything completely from scratch. So I decided to draw something I've written.
This will be the boat part of Black Black Heart, which is part of my Silver and Scarlet series. (Links: AO3 , LJ . Primarily NSFW and 18+.)
This is my first comic. Photoderp CS6 + cintiq. I'm not sure how many hours the page took exactly, but I do know that it took twelve hours just to ink it. I'm so slow...

Ten pages of your art? Yes please! I can already tell this is going to be just as awesome as the story. Though this means the new part of the story will be delayed? Awww... Now I'm torn. I don't know what I want more...

its like 5 whole drawings! and your linework is killer! is that a special pressure sensitive brush thingy you're using? i don't want you to stay sick... uh, unless you're gonna stop making these if you feel better : (

And thanks! I concentrated extra hard on the lines (twelve hours of work just refining/inking them) since I don't know if this will ever get colored. I also wanted to see if my lines could finally stand on their own.
It's a cintiq, which is a super-fancy wacom tablet that lets me draw straight on an LCD screen, borrowed hopefully indefinitely from my pro comic roommates. So yeah, it's pressure-sensitive. My lines actually don't come from that, though, since they're done in the badly-named pen tool, which is photoderp's version of the line and curve tools from MS Paint.
What? You wouldn't rather I go back to writing new stuff?

not just yet. there's some chapters of S&S i have been saving for a rainy day, so i'm good.
okay... if you can get the 'bezier' tool to make fancy caligraphic lines like that, you are WAY more patient and talented than i am!!
ps: if you ever do colour it, don't get rid of the line art versions, though. k?

Yeah, pretty much the only thing I actually use the cintiq for that I don't usually do with a mouse is when I color hair. XD I use the cintiq for things mostly now so I can lean back and watch stuff on my main screen and be lazy.
And sure, I spent too much time prettying up the lines to toss them.
