Its neat seeing this next to the reference with all the color flattened out. It shows all the shaving you put into this. But I like what you did with it! The shading is very smooth when you look at it, but when you step back the contrast between light and dark is actually pretty decent.
I hope you stick with this design :3 Its very nice!
