Omg is this a full background I did?! Behold! The only background I've ever done that I put more effort into than the character! I'm most proud of those trees.. XDAnd I finally drew one of my Salikos, Naoki, my Mayur. She was abandoned by her family when she was young because they were afraid that she wasn't going to survive, being that she was the runt, so they decided to distance themselves from her so it wouldn't hurt as bad if she ended up not making it. She survived against all odds but is horribly skinny and malnourished. (Though it's kinda hard to tell in this picture..) She's always super nervous around other salikos because she's afraid to get attached to them and then get left behind again.
Naoki belongs to me.
Salikos belong to and and you have to be a member of to own one.
PSE 12 for the lineart and some effects on lightning
Paint Tool Sai for everything else.
Took me around 4-5 hours.

You should be proud of those trees. They look amazing!
The background altogether looks just wonderful. So much detail, but not too much to be distracting. I especially like the water dripping from the branch.
But as for Naoki...I just want to give the poor thing a hug. She looks so forlorn. ;_;
