Description Hello peeps, this is my second submission to the amazing group called Monkey See Monkey Drew This piece was a bit more challenging than the last one because the reference was a person. I spent most of my time on the face and didn't pay too much attention to the clothes, kinda blast through those. Other than that I'm trying to keep these with an hour range. I may have gone over by 10 minutes. Any hoot, I hope you all enjoy this quick piece.

Here is the link to the photo reference [link]

When she's looking at you it's like she has nothing else better to do other than to hear what you might have to say.  The color scheme of the background suggests to me that she is imprisoned in a place that is cold and harsh.  The dark around her eyes suggest to me that she has been deprived of a lot of things for a while.  Her skin is really white because she doesn't get to live any life or go out anywhere to have fun.  But her hair is red because she still wants to live; she still has that flaming red will to live.  Her facial expression is many things; it is sad, angry, hurt, and afflicted.  But I don't see it that she is evil.

What you see in this picture hints at how I would feel about being in college sometimes. You might have made the physical picture in one hour.  But I suspect that you had been thinking about making a picture like this for some time. It's a good picture because a coldness seeps from it, and the human emotion that it conveys that others can relate to.

Good Work!

Thanks for the deep insight. It was a pretty cool composition from the photographer. You can check out the photo reference I used at this link. ulorinvex.deviantart.com/art/W…

I hear you on the college part. I'm glad those days are over. It is a good place to learn and grow.

Thanks again for the comment!

Thank you showing me where you got photo from.  And I'm glad you appreciated my commentary.  This painting follows very closely to the actual photo in the link that you gave me.  To have made this picture in roughly one hour, you must be a really good and experienced artist.

Hey no problem, I really don't have much time during the week because of work and some freelance at home. On top of that I'm trying to learn some new programs too But I try my best to crank something nice for the group. But I will for sure post some more stuff in the future.

Yeah Word Press is pretty easy to use and I like it. Drupal is a CMS program just like Word Press, it handles blogs and much more. And I like Dreamweaver for creating and editing code. Web design is the next thing I want to learn fairly well.

I've got one up for a side project for me and my cousin. I have it set up as a sub domain on my personal website. The one I have now is all done in flash. You can view the word press one at this link. [link]
