Description
Commission for Cliffjumper727 , who wanted my help in designing the characters for his fan-made sequel to the underrated TV series W.I.T.C.H. (seriously, if you haven't seen it yet, please do check it out!).
His sequel revolves around a second generation with the children of the original W.I.T.C.H. girls as the main characters. Now that the OCs are finished, he commissioned me to see what happened to the girls and their love interests upon growing up. The first of these commissions is the leader of W.I.T.C.H., Will Vandom, and her husband, Matt Olsen!
BIO:
For Will Vandom, life wasn't always set to being in Heatherfield forever. Yes, she'd made a lot of friends and had many major events happen there, but she wanted to think bigger. Thanks to the support of her rich dad, she was able to go across the state to a university where she wanted to study athletics as she wanted to become either a swim coach or join a professional team and go Olympic. It was bittersweet to see her go, especially for the W.I.T.C.H team. Not only had she been their leader through so many adventures, but even all this time, they were still very close. But life goes on and after one last celebratory dinner at the Silver Dragon, Will was ready to move on out and chase her dreams.
Before she left, she gave the Heart to Hay Lin, as she would no longer need it due to the forces of evil being a thing of the past, but also in case the Guardians were ever needed once more, Hay Lin would be the one to bring them up to speed as her grandmother Yan Lin did for them all those years ago.
Will wasn’t alone on her travels though. She was joined by her boyfriend Matt, who was joining her as was trying to branch out as a solo music artist, so decided to see if he could make it across the state in some regard. And with all said and done, with their friends and family seeing them off, the two set out on the road towards their future.
For the couple's life across the state, it was certainly a learned experience for both. Sure, it wasn’t always the most pleasant experience, (student loans and the like) but the two managed in whatever way they could. Will studied harder than she ever had in high school, working whatever job she could get, practicing every day for hours at the pool 'till she was waterlogged and looking after their secret furry friend, Mr. Huggles who they’d smuggled in without the University knowing.
Matt didn’t exactly have the right knowledge to get into the biz as a solo artist, unfortunately, but he made do with what he learned at the university and also got into the habit of repairing guitars for other students there. It was a good habit which he figured would be a good backup. It was pretty disappointing, but he knew it came par for the course. Not everyone gets the chance to be a superstar.
But Will got her big break when she got herself picked by a committee to join an all-American swim team, which led to her being noticed by officials for the American Olympic swim team.
Will was a star athlete. Winning 3 golds and 4 slivers in both Rome and Brisbane, she became quite the red-headed icon and gained many fans. But her number one fans were always her friends back home, cheering her on from the comfort of their own homes.
But after many years or so out of state, Heatherfield came calling once more and by this time, a lot had changed. For starters, Miss Will Vandom had become Mrs. Wilma Olsen. She and Matt got married just before she went off to Rome.
After her Olympic time was said and done, Will decided to become a fully licensed P.E teacher, so she could help others reach their sporting dreams as she had done. She got her job in her old school, Sheffield Institute.
Matt decided to set up shop with his own music store and instrument repair service. He still plays where he can, in venues and the like, but is often seen teaching young folks how to play the guitar or trying to put a smashed one back together.
And of course, they had a daughter. That being Maddison .
Like Will and her own mother, Susan (Maddison’s grandma) She and Maddy can butt heads over a lot of certain issues. Most notably, Maddison’s lack of care for her academia and her tendency to cheat when things aren’t going too well. Despite that, Will does truly care for her daughter and will do anything to keep her dreams of sporting stardom alive, but knows she has to keep her in line somehow because it will end up badly for her if it doesn’t.
The pair are also quite competitive and not just in sports. Mother and daughter are both avid gamers and often challenge each other. But it’s usually up to Matt to de-escalate things when they take it too far.
Matt is also close to his daughter and is a bit laxer when it comes to behavior (much to his wife’s annoyance at times) but it’s more due to wanting to see her express herself the way she wants to. At the same time though, he’s good at making his daughter dance to his tune, especially when he needs work done in the shop. Like cleaning the instruments, organizing music books, and the like. He’ll always promise something nice for her return, which Maddison always bites.
