Junko was born outside of Mizuyama, into the world of the brothel, her mother having being employed at one when she fell pregnant with the child. From the beginning the young girl learnt that some people would do anything to survive, stealing, giving their body, anything. She grew up alongside her mother, since the identity of her biological father was never known. Her mother tried to shield the child from the explicit world she was born into, but it wasn't an easy task, and in time her mother knew only too well that Junko too would soon be too old to protect.

Indeed, the moment Junko was deemed old enough, she was put to work right alongside her mother. The girl didn't mind too much, as she knew not much more of a way of life other than the brothel, so to her it wasn't too out of the ordinary. However, as the months approached a year, Junko soon learnt just what she had been missing out on outside the brothel. A particular client began to frequently visit her, and Junko being the young, naive girl she was, fell for the client and soon became infatuated with them.

Months passed in bliss for the girl, the client making her so happy, that she payed little attention to all else. Every warning, every concern her mother voiced to Junko fell on deaf ears. Nothing could compare to what she felt when she was with them. But, alas, the mirage soon shattered for the girl. The client got married, departing Junko so abruptly, no note, no word, no closure; it left her a shadow of what she once was. Her mother tried to comfort her, but she could no longer protect her daughter from the harsh reality; they were just common whores. And would probably never surpass that title.

Again, months passed, and Junko persisted with her job, thinking if she invested all her time in it, she would forget. But of course, things are never that simple. In the end she could no longer take the pain of seeing reminders of that blissful time, so she left her town and her mother for Mizuyama. Once she arrived, and finding herself in need of money, she sought out a job at the local brothel. Her years of experience convinced the owners that she was right for the job, and she's been working there ever since.
