Often dubbed the "Bad guys" of the second world war, the story of the Axis Powers is probably one of the greatest stories that is rarely properly told.

Some set out to correct the wrong doings to them of the first world war, some seeking independence and self rule, Some established as puppet states, others as volunteers and legions fighting for a cause most knew was lost from the beginning. What was that "cause"? Well it changes depending on the country.

-From that you can see what may have been the largest issue of the alliance, the horrific lack of proper communication and correspondence.

In the beginning things were going their way, albeit short lived.

As the war progressed the situation deteriorated as the Allies continued to get stronger and stronger. Supplies dwindled, some started running out of men, some had coups that led to governments siding with the Allies, some fighting until their own soil was being destroyed by the same war they thought they would have won years earlier.

And while they all set large goals, they ultimately lacked the vision and strategic foresight to achieve said goals.

All in all their defeat changed the world forever, and while the world might be better off without them, I feel it's dangerous to view WW2 as "good guys" and "Bad guys" because that certainly wasn't the case. And it isn't the case for any other war, conflict, political debate, you name it.

Countries/independent states listed(and I know there's more that could have been included):
Romania, Spain(Blue Division), Italy, Finland, Iraq, Azad Hind, Manchukuo and Mengjiang, Thailand, Hungary, Germany, Croatia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Japan, and Vichy France.

(not entirely happy with how this turned out, but it's all about practice at the end of the day I guess.)
