I've been so hooked on Disney comics recently. specifically the Uncle Scrooge and Donald ones. and now with the new DuckTales reboot getting closer and closer (I loved the new trailer!), I've just been wanting to draw these guys even more!!Β
anatomy and stuff is off because I didn't care and honestly??? why are their beaks so freaking hard to draw?? anyway I hope you like them ;0;Β

These sketches look better than the rebooted deigns.
I'm not hating on the show, I loved the original. But, uh, the animations look wonky and the designs just don't look... right.

oh haha if i had had the pre-realization that ppl would be complaining about the new show, I wouldn't have said anything about it. I, for one, am very happy with the art direction they took tbh, and I suppose I could just leave it at that because everyone has their own opinion and mine won't change yours lol
tbh I actually based these sketches roughly on the Boom! comic designs. I absolutely love the way they're drawn in the recent comics and it really inspired me to try my hand at something similar! C:

I didn't mean to sound harsh on the show or anything. I am still excited for it, even if I don't completely agree with ALL their animation choices.Β

I personally really enjoy the comics! I'm liking the AU comic called "Donald Quest" that also guest-stars Mickey in it as well! There's only one more issue left for that one before the story is complete, and I'm looking forward to when it comes out ;w;

Huh, that actually looks like a good comic! I'll see if I can find it...
I grew up reading my dad's Donald Duck/Uncle Scrooge comics by Carl Barks. He was my first inspiration, and what got me so interested in comic books in the first place/
So while Carl Barks will always my favorite Disney comic artist, this other person doing Donald Quest looks really good! I'll have to check it out!
