Description
"I ain't one to get concerned about a match before it happens. I know I've always done as much as I could to prepare myself for my opponents, and I know that whatever happens, happens. Though sometimes, things happen before a match that I couldn't of predicted, or expected.
And some of those moments are the absolute best!
So here I am, prepping for my match against Moira, and I'm grinning from ear to ear on just the thought of getting some revenge on her for Moira betraying Eve in the last PPV, when I hear some voices from out in the hallway. Of course I don't recognize them, and one of them sounds a bit young. Last time that happened...
I got up from my stretches and walked out into the hallways, nearly walking straight into two gals being led on a tour by the media manager for NHB right as she was stating...
"...and here is where Ariane Jones' locker is for her pre-ppv warm ups and oh! Here she is!"
I think her name was Angelica? Yeah, Angelica. She smiled as she looked back at the two gals, who were grinning ear to ear. The little one was in shock, her mouth stuck open so wide a whole hoard of flies could soar right in.
"So, these two gals I'd reckon are fans?" I asked, as I saw their shirts had my image emblazoned on them. The young kid recovered from her stupor just to bob her head up and down faster than I'd ever see a human move.
Leaning down, I tussled her hair just a smidge and gave her the brightest grin I could. "Well, I'd love to spend some time with ya, though I'm just about to head off to the ring. So would a picture and a hug do for now?"
She squealed with joy, jumping up and down. "I take that as a yes, then."
The two girls, I learned were named Amanda and Elise, handed their phones over to Angelica, who figured out how to work them while we posed for the pictures.
"Smile and say, Yeehaw!"
Elise, the youngest, jumped up, throwing her one hand in the air, doing her best to imitate my lasso twirl while yelling out, "Yeeehayyy". Amanda was a little less enthused compared to her sister, but, still her smile radiated her joy.
A few pictures later, I gave both of them a hug, and let them know that I would do my best to see them after the show. I watched them go, Elise turning and waving before they disappeared around the corner.
Seeing them filled my chest with a warmth and happiness...and a sense of determination.
It was fans like Elise and Amanda that drove me forward and kept me going. It was just the touch of drive I needed to really drive this home for myself, for Eve, and for fans like them.
"Yeehaw, kids," I said quietly with a grin. "Moira won't know what hit her tonight!"

A wonderful render made by Sharp-Images . A bit of a prelude to what will happen at the NHB PPV match that Ariane will be having. I think you all will enjoy it!
