a coloured version.i feel like my colouring only
brings my work down a little,
so maybe i should just try to learn ink.
oh well, here is a kabuki styled image
i was drawing for fun while working on other things.
ok digital colour, from now on let's be friends!

I actually think the minimal shading has a very nice effect in this piece..it gives off more of a japanese woodblock print kinda feel with very flat visual planes. And the dull colours also set off this effect..but I guess that's just my opinion. Good work!

I agree with tehpoa, you should try some shadings and stuff. What do you mean by artificial?
It happens all the time with my pics that they will look like metallic, but that won't happen to yours, judging your style of coloring

yes, i end up with a very digital and sterile(?) look when shading...
but if you think so, i will try shading on other works later on!

i thought you werent going to color it?
i think it would be better if you used more shades/hues for each color
instead of just flat colors
i still have trouble with colors so i just do black and white!
