I like that effect of "laser in dusty/smoky air" (top left corner). Game of light and darkness. I can not decide wheter light is deformed in some weird space or there is something in the dark interacting with it. Excellent.

First thought, housework made fun. Love the delightful play of color here.

Welcomes! I resisted the urge to go vacuum after viewing this piece.

And my intention was to vacuum out fractals only.

Wow, Very nice.

Just curiousity, do you color balance in Photoshop?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

arethusafellini In reply to Set-Kul [2006-08-14 11:13:06 +0000 UTC]

Yes I do color balance but I have never used it in any of my fractals. When I mean postwork that usually means I multiply the flame (because the render is too light) or add a soft light/overlay.

I get my colours from colour-balancing ( I have no idea how to use the gradient thing, I figured out how to use Apophysis myself). What do you mean by multiplying the flame?

arethusafellini In reply to Set-Kul [2006-08-14 11:49:59 +0000 UTC]

Multiply = duplicate so that it gets thicker or the flame will show up more.

There is a basic Apo tutorial by datagram. You can go check it out. I think it explains the Gradient window. Once you learn that, then you can start learning the colors tab in the transform editor.

Hmm... I'm just wandering how long does it take to make one like this? It sure looks pretty complicated

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

arethusafellini In reply to zenadorion [2006-08-12 08:15:31 +0000 UTC]

Well in Apophysis, I spend a handful of minutes in tweaking the triangles (or transforms as they call it) plus assigning values to different variations to get a good look. Then color adjustments. Longest time would be rendering it. Then I turn to Photoshop for image enhancements.

It's not as difficult as 3D-modelling.
