Description
A shot of my castle cross stitch in progress, out of its hoop. Definitely will needed cleaned and pressed before framing!
Still left to do: two fireworks, lots of outlining, little stars and other embellishments.
I've only been working on this for three years. I hope to have it done by the end of the year.

I finished a cross stitch for my daughter, I dont know what to do next, I want to frame it.

I usually go the lazy route and "frame" using a hoop. It gives a nice rustic touch. But this one is way too big for that, so I'll have to clean it, press it, starch it, and then get it framed professionally.

Yes, it's a pattern. I've definitely strayed from it in certain spots, but I did try to be faithful to it.

I have a cross stitch in my closet at home that I started about 13 yrs ago and never finished. I might dust it off when I'm done with this one and finally get it done.

I only work on it once a week, for the most part. I can only stand it for so long, and my shoulder hurts after a while. But I could likely remedy that with a better work station than sitting on the couch.
My next project will be smaller. That's for sure!

I prefer latching, to be honest. I can only stand to stitch for so long before my brain rebels (or my shoulder).

If I stitch too long I see it in my head when I close my eyes. Just the needle and thread going through the repetitive motions over and over

I do that sometimes if I play mahjong or solitaire too long on the computer.
