--EDIT-- new episodes have proven this theory is wrong. So I no longer believe that they are they same person. --EDIT--I believe that Bubblegum is truly Betty. It must be the crown or the after effects of the Mushroom war. :l
I don't really do fan art, but I have this huge love for Adventure time that I can't possibly ignore.

I think the connection is actually a lot simpler: Simon has a thing for brainy redheads. When he's the Ice King, he doesn't remember Betty, but something in his mind just finds redheads with a high level of intellect extremely attractive. That's just my theory anyway.

I love adventure time too!!! Bubblegum does seem to mimic Betty's looks and that probably why Ice King is so into her. But I think it's weird how much Betty looks like Dr. Princess. Think about it.
