“My Lawyer will hear all about this!” the crime boss yelled as I pushed him into the backseat of my boss’s cruiser.
“I’m sure he will, Kubrick.” We were surrounded by a large collection of other cops (who were moving more of Kubrick’s men into vehicles) and media reporters. They all belonged to Oberon city, large flashes of light erupted on me, causing me to squint.
“Trainee Kuroda, is it true that you were the driving force in revealing this conspiracy?” One yelled, while another asked the same question, but even more louder and obnoxiously. I found myself frozen at the sight of all these cameras.
“Er, yes… though I’m not taking full credit”-
“Did officer Shiki approve of this arrest?”
“Yeah, he signed the warrant.”
“Does he have any comment in regards to the recent Team Striker sightings”- I scowled at the obvious questions.
“Is it true that local ranger Dai Kimura was involved in the”-
“Trainee Kuroda will take no more questions.” A man quickly stated, stepping beside me. I glanced to see my current boss, Okeer Shiki (chief of police here in Oberon city). “We will hold a press conference tomorrow to answer your questions.” He finished, I sighed in relief as the journalists hurried away.
“…Thank you.” I sighed, happy to have more peace and quiet. Shiki nodded, sighing.
“Media can be a pain… you’ve done well here. I’ll be sure to give your superior a raving review.” He smiled, I felt myself grinning. He reminded me so much of his daughter (the older blonde one). The man walked away, approaching his car.
“Where are you going?”
“Seems like we’re finished here.” Okeer explained, I glanced to the side, seeing the police were gone, having taken all of their suspects into custody, “I’m gonna call my family.” He smiled, “With this handled, I might finally have some time to visit them.” I grinned.
“Give Koko my best.” Shiki nodded, driving off. I then sighed, happy it was all quiet now.
My eyes then widened, remembering one of their questions…
Dai.
I looked around the area, before finding myself in an alleyway, seeing someone leaning against a brick wall. A taller teen who smiled, seeing me.
“I take it they’re all gone?” I grinned.
“You were right to bow out, it was terrible.”
“Yet you’re still in one piece.” Dai flashed that smile I loved seeing.
“Next time we team up, they’re all yours… Ranger Kimura.” I then replied, stepping closer to him. Our eyes met closely, Dai blushed, seeing me this close, though it didn’t ruin his resolve… apart from causing him to back up to the brick wall behind him, hands raising.
I was faster, crashing my lips up into his in a swift fulfilling kiss. Dai’s blush grew even more but he accepted it. My hands raised up, to feel more of his skin, grasping his hair. I slowly grew so much into the kiss that I didn’t realize that my hat had fallen away.
This, was a good night.
