Here's Kimi through her growing up stages. Kimi lost her mom when she was 7. At 10 we see her dressed in green because her stepmom Lana forbid her and Abhik to wear anything water tribe related. When she was a teen, she noticed how alike she and her mom were so she started dressing similar to feel closer to her. Kimi has always been very social and a people-person so she grows up to be a great real estate agent just like her friend Naava.Next to do is Abhik, then Saren, and then Tooru.Β After them, who do you want to see next?

5 year old Kimi is adorable! I'm also noticing that when she was ten years old she didn't wear the (>>) symbol. Is it like her family/mother symbol thing or just watertribe?

Yes, she really, I think right now she is my favorite as 5 year old. It is her family symbol and it means it is from the water tribe, so Lana wouldn't let her use it, though I think that more than once Kimi will secretly wear her mom's necklace.

Though I guess Lana would have her reasons for being strict but it's a bit over the top. I think it would be a bit logical that Abhik and Kimi would want to hold on a bit to their background and their mother.

it's interesting to see Kimi's progression. I like how her 20 year and 28 year forms look very alike. And I like those braids she had at 15... and naturally her 5 year old form is adorable.

She didn't change much in 8 years, her change was more internal. Ironically, Nikta ends up wearing her hair very similar to how Kimi wore it at 15, Nikta probably liked it and end up copying her hairstyle. Yes, she looks very cute at 5. What I like about water tribe kids that grew in the poles is seeing them wearing their big coats that make them look even smaller, I always die of cuteness whenever I see baby Tarrlok playing in the snow.

Yes, they are going to be braid buddies. In a modern AU, if they were friends, they would probably do slumber parties and braid each other's hair.
