Halloween costume from school fic with his characters and mine. He hasn't got into halloween yet in the story but the date is approaching so between him and me we decided what costumes the character would wear for Halloween 2013.From left to right and top to bottom:

Nice costumes, I wish we would celebrate Halloween here but we've like two separate holidays for that: "Sint Maarten" children sing for candy with lampions and "Carnaval" Parade in the South and as kids we used to dress up...

Hahaha yep, and aparently proud of it, he is not ashamed of being Hook, apparently he felt a connection with him and felt he HAD to dress like him.
That's interesting, on what dates are those celebrations? Here in Mexico we celebrate "Dia de Muertos" (Death Day) on November 2, people build altars for those loved ones who had passed away with the belief that on this day they return to this world to celebrate. We also kind of celebrate Halloween but that is more because we are way to close to USA so we have adopted some of their traditions.

Sint Maarten is the 11th of November. Carnaval depends on Easter. The earliest possible Carnaval is on February 1, the latest possible date is March 9. There's a movie going out 'based' on that right? The Book of Life I think. I think that it's an interesting film but not sure if I'll go watch it. The trailer looked cool though.
We, the Dutch, kinda created Santa Claus. Most of the Dutch don't get presents at Christmas because we celebrate 'Sinterklaas' at the 5th of December. It's the birthday of Saint Nicolaas, who !SPOILER! doesn't excist (Don't tell the children). You might have heard of it because of the discussion of Black Pete 'Zwarte Piet"

Oh, so it also pretty close to both Hallow and Death Day. Oh Carnaval like in Rio and Venice, so yes it has to be before Ash Wednesday. Yes, it is. I'm really excited about it because many of the people involved in it are emxican or from mexican roots so they are going to respect a lot of the traditions and not be offensive at all (like Despicable Me 2 that honestly was a huge offense). If you get to watch it please let me know so we can discuss about it.

That's an interesting article, it's always difficult to navigate between tradition and sensitivity, it's sort of like when we had debates to take the N word out of huckleberry fin for when teaching it in school(not a very good one, but it's the only example I can think of).

Yes, I loved Sinterklaas when I was a kid. Every year he and the Pieten came to some city with his steamboat loaded with packages and every year something went wrong. Like Map Piet didnt know the correct way etc. If you look up Intocht Sinterklaas on Youtube you can see it.
But even here in my village Sinterklaas and the Pieten came with a boat. And painting ourselves black makes even relatives unknown so they can pass out to the kids. I used to not to recognize my uncle. We don't mean to hurt anyone.

Great work on this, now I really want to use a lot of these as gags in the Halloween fic, I think it'd be funny if Kokoro and Cheryl ended up getting mad at eachother judging whether the hunger games or harry potter is better(it'd be hilarious since everyone's going to side with harry potter, even Angela). I'm also thinking it'd be funny for people to not think Ryuu's captain hook, since he doesn't look like the one from peter pan. I really love how lazy Ronin's design is, it's literally just his school design with fake blood and brains. Everyone should be immediately unhappy with Mac, just because nobody likes spiderman 3, and seeing him just brings back bad memories.
...I'm just waiting for everyone to have no clue who Minami is, while Nikta knows and is all awkward about it. And I really like Connor's version of the captain America uniform, it fits since he's his favorite super hero.
I also think it'd be funny, since in the story, this takes place before Frozen came out, that Aimee would have randomly predicted the frozen craze, while everyone's indifferent to them(Even Naava), and Aimee's just the one making Mika keep this up(that and Mika loves the pigtails)... and now I'm thinking Nadia should be awkward around them, since they're all 'Disney princesses', while Aimee completely denies that. I also think it'd be a decent joke if someone asks whether Dai and Josa had switched facial hair.
This would be the perfect situation for the group to meet Misa, just because it reminds me of that HIMYM situation, where the group is there celebrating something, and Ted forces his new girlfriend into it(and have Misa be another character from game of thrones, which she also watches).
Oddly enough, this would be the perfect situation for Saren to be stiff, and sluggish. Out of all, I think my favorite's probably Naava, just because I always love seeing her different designs in these things... I can imagine the awkward car ride where she's taking Lune, and complaining about how he's going, since it's a high school party, and possible stuff about how she doesn't understand Lune's costume(he's always such a mystery to her... that and she's likely never seen the hobbit). Then she can be angry that all the girls naturally loved Lune and that he's 'so cute'... which reminds me, that Aria, Kokoro and Naava need to randomly sit around in the same spot, and be awkward about the whole 'bow' thing.

There are going to be alot of fandom wars at that party. Yes, I'm sorry, Kokoro, but Hunger Games will never surpass Harry Potter. Just a few (those who have watched OUAT or now about it) will now about Hook, the others will just see him he is dressed like a random pirate, and Ryuu would be like "I'm CAPTAIN Hook" and do the eyebrow thing. I was going to give him another clothes, but then I though, neh, it is Ronin he wouldn't care much about his costume. At one point in the party, after everybody boooed him so much, Mac will say he is Spiderman Miles Morales.
Minami can be nicknamed "female gladiator" because nobody has a clue of who she is. It could be because her mom was a big fan of the series so she convinced Minami to occasional watch it with her and dress as Xena for Halloween. It would be even funnier ir Aria knew who she was but acted like she didn't just to make Minami mad. I wasn't sure if I should had put Connor with that uniform seeing as the movie wasn't released yet, but by then there was already official pictures and a trailer showing up his new suit design.
Aimee could be by then already a big fan of Frozen from the trailers, sneak peeks, official merchandise, etc while everybody remained indiferent to it, then when the frozen craze started she was already tired of it and hearing "Do you want to build a snowman" and "let it go" in the halls. Mika was just dragged into her craziness because it was a movie about two sisters, and theye were sister, so they HAD to dress as Elsa and Anna (according to Aimee). Mika was just happy she got to wear a cute dress and braid her hair.
That would be interesting because by then everybody will now about the "secret" girlfriend and will be dying to meet her, but Shiro chose the worst event to bring her up because it was a "only friends" party. I'm thinking she could either go as Cersei because of her hair color, as Ygritte so she and Shiro goes as a pairing.
Naava looks very cute with her hair in a ponytail, she should wear it like that more often. Naava is also one of my favorites, I'm thinking in maybe copying her costume for this halloween because it is simple but looks great. It would be very funny if Lune arrived and all the book geeks and lotr/hobbit fans praised Lune's costume (plus all the girls saying he looks very cute) while Naava has no idea who Bilbo Baggins is. You are right, they are bow buddies.
Hey, by the way, I'm going to start drawing the OUAT picture, Do I draw them in civies outfits or fairytale outfits (well except for Emma and Henry)?

I think it' be funny if mac said that, than nobody had any clue what he was talking about, then that one who did yelled "That's Racist!"
It really seems to be a major port of Mika's character to be dragged into her sister's shenanigans, now I'm thinking it'd be hilarious for Naav to be a total fan of frozen when sh finally watches it, an to be the one that ends up annoying Aimee the most, because she's sick of it.
I really like Naava's pony tail, for her growing up picture, I think it would suit her at age 15. I like the idea of her doing lara croft again, how about it be the lara croft design from the rise of the tomb raider trailer(I also like that as a design for something Naava wears during winter)? I really like that, though I wouldn't mind for connor to have the same costume.
I think you should do both... Though if I had to choose between them, I'd go with civies.
