Same here... I understand how you feel though, and everyone else.. They want her for their selves, when in reality, that's more selfish than not even helping her... I am glad that she's kind of not in this world, cause she would get abused, and bullied, and end of dead, or raped, or something, from either some sick Rule 34 kid in this fandom, or some weird ass, who knows who, that just wants to rape a pony, and then leave it there to die.. Everyone wishes ponies were real, but I just can't begin to even fathom what sick shit people would do to them... I am just glad Derpy is okay, in our minds.. So that home we build for her, is in out hearts.. She always has a place, and lets keep it this way..

Pretty much why everyone wants a portal to Equestria and maybe even be a pony when they cross over (People's OC) But it's like with the "my little Dashie" fan fiction. The guy kept Dashie hidden from the world and protected her from the harsh cruelness of average people.
So maybe we won't change the world with a single fandom for a show. But maybe each of us can do the best we can, and treat others with those elements of harmony. Kindness, Honesty, Generosity, Loyalty, Laughter, and the magic of friendship.
And if someone wanted to rape a pony than that's there thoughts, twisted maybe to us. But everything has a cause, and you never know what's effected them in their lives to think that. But all we can do is not judge them.
