Another Brawl sketch turned color pencil experiment. I added a bit more embellishment to this one, and I'll probably keep that up for the others too.Meta Knight is freakin' awesome in Brawl, I must say. My absolute favorite matchup to throw down with right now is an "Epic Meta Knight Duel" - two Meta Knights, one with the White color scheme and one with the Dark color scheme. Then we duel to the death. Pure win. It takes a lot of work to get a kill with Meta Knight, and he fights up-close-and-personal and aggressive, so it makes for an extremely intense fight.
EDIT [July 5th]: I notice a lot of people are faving this, so I took a second look at it and decided I didn't really care for the signature and name blurb it had... I feel like I need to watermark it, after seeing some of my artwork taken without permission, but I don't want to make it even uglier.
So, please be kind and ask don't take this and use it (for sigs, avatars, etc.) without asking me first!

Jesus, after searching brawl I came across your samus and sonic pictures as well and I have to say you got same major talent dude. Your whole style of drawing has this exagerated rebelliousness to it, and I more than love it! This particular picture made me want to comment cause Meta Knight is my best character.

So cool - I have a question though... How'd you get that black so ... err, black?

To start with, I was using a "grease pencil"... I think it goes by other names, but I don't know what they are; that's just what my dad called it when he gave it to me. It gives VERY thick, color-pencil-like black to whatever you're working on, and it doesn't smear like graphite. Naturally, I like it a lot, as I'm a big fan of heavy black lines.
On top of that, though, I used the Levels tool in Photoshop. Ctrl+L brings it up on a PC, and you can work on a "threshold" of bright and dark in an image. I made the darkness in the image stronger, so it made the black very... black. However, as a side effect, is also darkened the overall color of the image, because I didn't do it in black and white. That's usually okay, though, because it usually makes the colors warmer and richer.
