I shared this in the Monster High livejournal community but I thought I might as well post it here too. They're some monster characters I came up with, not necessarily final designs, not that it matters. They are:Sheela Bann (Daughter of a Banshee): her clothes are inspired by traditional Irish costume, also hence the red hair. Banshees are said to have wailing voices and hair that floats around as if in water.
Harper Snatch (Daughter of a Harpy): harpies are the embodiment of speed. She was going to be a track runner but I wanted to give her taloned feet...so she's a tomboyish girl who likes dressing like a pirate and going adventuring.
Minnie Tauro (Daughter of the Minotaur): obviously I went for a cowgirl look, but I wish I had made her a punk instead.
Mary Spector (Daughter of a Ghost): think Bloody Mary. She's a ballet dancer.

I've seen monster high stuff before but I don't know a whole lot about it, other than the cute idea and the various characters' relations to popular monsters. I must say, I love these four ideas...Minnie is adorable, I'd have to see the punk rock version before I agreed she shoulda been that. I think Harper is already got you mostly covered with punk rock though and I love her design the most
