I like this re-invention of beast. He has a bit of John Smith feel to him but I do agree that his human form should reflect his character. But perhaps the fairy changed him into something that did not reflect his true personality as part of the punishment? Just a thought. Either way, as a Disney prince he needs to have substance. Phillip slayed a dragon, Eric saved his crew and dog from a burning ship, etc etc.
Beautiful work and I love the feel on your ink drawings.

I've been hesitant to reply, because THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST REPLIES I've ever received! ;3; so niceee.
I'm happy you like my design for him! His human-version is often one of the most debated ones I've noticed when it comes to Disney princes. I understand what Disney was going with, but at the same time, I wish he was a bit more ERR substantial? manlier? HE'S SUCH A BEAST, and then turned into some pretty whining thing (at least in the sequels he was a spoiled whining thing). hmmmm.
I'll definitely keep going since I love Disney so much ;n;~ oh and don't say that! I'm sure your art is wonderful! I've only been drawing constantly and intensely for the past 5-7 years, so it just takes hard work/determination/all that good stuff to improve! I can offer tips anytime (even though I'm not monster-proooooo)
thank you so much again! you're so wonderful~! xxx

that's a shame about your sister! My drawing prof (at university) said that, no jokes, 90-95% of art students in my program stop making art after graduating.
I personally take pleasure at doodling away, so I try to officially make it a thing now to draw in my leisure time :3 but a lot of people don't have the time for it/ lose interest completely, and move on to other things (like any other skill, such as music or uh... math.) Improvement is inevitable the more you work at stuff! it's great that you feel you're improving~ (I think I've improved if I look back on something and think it's crap haha~).
I had the hardest time (and still kinda do!) with drawing hands and feet. I'd try to break down the hand and foot into geometric shapes first, and use a bazillion references always! C: stare at your own appendages! practice practice practice!
