I like your idea of the light from beyond. Very nice funnel effect also with the spinning of the hoop and the fact that you kept the "beam" going in a steady line. Bravo!

Ah but I cannot take credit for the light from beyond idea. I picked it up from an awesome light painter named Kimbell on deviantart. You should look him up. I felt a bit guilty for doing something so kitsch, but it came out ok. Thanks for the comment!

You've got to take credit where it is deserved. Of course Kimbell's stuff is great but yours is good too. I like doing orbs but am not the first person who taught about doing one though. I try to give credits when I can, as you did and try to get better as everybody else is trying I presume. So, once again, I like your idea of the light from beyond. Very nice funnel effect also with the spinning of the hoop and the fact that you kept the "beam" going in a steady line. Bravo!

true indeed, everyone is trying to get better and use all the tools that are available to them. I think pics like this are part of anyones path. What I most get out of making this image is the sense of "hey I can do it too", now the next step is to figure out how to bend the technique into something more true to me. We are all on our journey... Thanks you so much for the well thought out comment.
