I love the sense of energy and movement in this. It seems alive! I love your colour choices, too - that is one interesting backgroud, it works really well; gives the piece a great texture. The way you've painted the skin has a lovely delicate touch - I like the tones.
And it makes a wonderful book cover! THe composition is perfect, and as a stand-alone picture its a pretty awesome composition. Much more unusual than the typical centralised portrait! *gets idea*

It looks like acrylic paint you've got an amazing painterly touch, y'know. Lurvely.

Wonderful movement Karl, I can see that she has just shook her head. I hoe your not in too much pain after painting this, that would be a shame.
