That's so true! If anything, I'd imagine Kaiba would use the seal in his search for power but..wow the plot twist.

Yeah but I mean Kaiba went through much in search of power and he broke some rules himseld but he never ever ever showed even the slightest of interest in the Seal of Orichalcos. He didn't seem interested at all. Could it be because of the immediate dislike he developed for Dartz and his men? It is possible but he didn't particularly like Marik either and yet he so desired to get his God Card too but not the Seal.
Yami not only was the only one who used it but he also used it in a battle that had clearly no price to pay. It wasn't like he was playing with his life and so he had nothing to lose anymore. He was having a normal duel in the middle of nowhere when no one from his fans would see him, there was no price to play for, no one had hanged the Puzzle away like Bandid Keith had done under Marik's conrtol, there was no anchor atatched to his foot, no chaingsaw to cut him in half...nothing. He had absolutely no reason not to lose the fight with Raphael and yet he did it.
Plus as it seemed he could have escaped for a couple of rounds at least. He had "Hand Control" in his hands and yet instead of playing it to empty his graveyard first and then figure out something on the way, he played the seal FIRST. It literaly offered him nothing. True he did it because he wanted to free Timaeus but still it made no sense. No harm was done to keep Timaeus there. He had won battles before getting him. He had no reason to do it. And yet he did it...
