Description
One of the many dragon species from the story I'm about to create. I worked for more than a year on it and I'm still not done. Now I posted a WIP of it just because I wanted to show you what I'm currently working on. All I can give you now is some basic information about these dragon's. I can tell you more about it when the real species sheet is done.-This specie is called Sikanderjar (sikand=elegant / erjar=dragon)
-They are one of the smallest dragons in Aethera but very fast and excellent fliers.
-Their bones are hollow and therefor they can't take much damage. In return they have a fair hand with magic.
-They are bound to one to three elements and can create dangerous and also helpful spells.
-They are all fire breathing dragons and the color of their flames is depending on each dragon's primary element.
-The most interesting thing is that they're having at least two tails (2-5 same for the wing fingers) which are connected through a flexible membran which gives them a bird-like silhouette in the air.
-They can move their front and hind claws like human hands, therefor they can use all kind of weapons and objects
So, that's all information I can offer for now. On the real ref I will provide lot's of info about their social lives as well.

This species is AMAZING! I love the details put into it's face and legs! And those horns! *.*
To me, they seem like their colors would be a bit bland, but the horn on their snout would be very bright, like a red or orange. Or maybe each one of them would have different or special markings along their scales.
But the way you describe them as being agile... That tail looks like it would slow them down a bit. 
Still, beautiful and excellent work! Keep it up!

You guessed right with the coloration of horns and body! Horns will be brighter while the body is rather bland. I think you're right about what you wrote about the agility part. This concept isn't really fleshed out yet and I'm going to change that tail part. No more tails but bones like wingfingers so they can fold the membran as they need to stay agile and still keep that bird-like shape. I'm still not quite sure about this but I think I'll change them to wyverns as well... Two instead of four legs.
Their story hasn't made much progress since I havn't time for art at all until the end of this year ^^°

I just ADORE the legs on this guy, very sexy ;3! Its a very lovely species, It's interesting how they have split-ended tails like that, I bet they have a very smooth and stable flight being like a birds-tail shape :3

Yeah, I imagine them to fly like a bird, only with membran instead of feathers. Maaayyybe I should shorten the wings and tails a little bit for anatomy's sake but on the other side I just love huge wings on a dragon like that.

Perhaps the tails could be shortened, but I dont think theres anything wrong with them this length, it makes the species look much more pretty :3

Mein Ventus hat auch solche kleinen rundlichen Schuppen, ich liebe diese Art von Schuppen einfach *_*
Sie sehen so leicht udn weich aus, wirken aber trotzdem wie eine Art Schutz.
Mich würden jetzt nur noch die Farben interessieren XD
Gibt auch Unterschiede zwischen Weibchen und Mänchen?
Der Drache hier sieht wegen seinem Horn auf der Nase männlich aus

Hey aber gerne beantworte ich deine Fragen! Ich freue mich umso mehr wenn jemand Interesse an den Tierchen hat. Oh ja, solche rundlichen Schuppen haben auch was sehr natürliches
Ich hab sehr viel rumprobiert mit allen möglichen Formen. Am liebsten mag ich ja eigentlich so dicke, grobe Schuppenplatten aber die hätten hier absolut nicht gepasst. Die sind aber schon für eine andere Rasse vorgesehen.
An Farben können die alles mögliche haben, also von monoton bis Paradisvogel sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Naja ich sag mal vorsichtig alle Farben die in der Natur vorkommen, also nicht unbedingt neonpink/regenbogen oder sowas ^^°
Unterschiede zwischen den Geschlechtern gibt es soweit nicht, außer wie du schon richtig vermutet hast, das Horn auf der Nase welches nur bei den Männchen vorkommt. Ursprünglich sollten die Weibchen größer sein weil sie den Nachwuchs beschützen aber das habe ich wieder verworfen, da ich aus ihnen "intelligente" Lebensformen gemacht habe, die in einer Gesellschaft leben und da gibt es keine zugeteilten Aufgaben zwischen den Geschlechtern. Da könnte ich dich noch ne ganze Weile drüber zutexten aber dann lieber per Note, falls zu Interesse hast.

I feel the tail is far too long to be as agile as you'd like them to be, they'd much rather fly like a peacock with the train/tail trailing behind them, very sluggish but beautiful. Shorter tails are better for agility, but less pretty!
The love the attention to detail you have, the body shape is also very eye pleasing and I love the hands and feet, the feet especially with those double claws! Also, yes please nice big pectorals!

I was thinking about how I could add tail feathers on a dragon without... drawing actual feathers, but still keeping the bird-like shape, you know? I thought it would make them more agile than regular dragons but actually I have absolutely no clue XD

Das was Rasa sagt stimmt schon.
Kannst das mit nem Auto auf glattter Straße vergleichen. Du versuchst vorne zu lenken und hinten schert der Wagen auf Grund der Länge und des Gewichts aus. Das Gleiche wird auch den Süßen beim plötzlichen Richtung ändern passieren. Der Körper ändert die Richtung, aber der Schwanz kommt nicht mit und bringt den Drachi aus dem Gleichgewicht. ^^
Ansonsten gefällt mir das Design wirklich gut. Besonders die Idee mit den mehreren Schwänzen hat was.

The same effect might happen to Aras dragon due to its long tail.

Das mit den Wagen ist ein guter Vergleich! Wenn da noch Wind ins Spiel kommt wird es schwierig mit der Steuerung.

Möchtest gern die langen Schwänze behalten, wa? XD
Ich denke zum Gleiten sind die recht gut geeignet (jedenfalls wenn die Flügel groß genug sind -> Vergleich Segelflugzeuge).
Am besten kann man sich den Körperbau und die Flügelform von Vögeln als Vorlage nehmen. Möwen oder Sturmvögel haben beispielsweise lange, schmale Flügel, um mit den starken Winden in küstennähe klarzukommen. Adler, Condore und so haben große breite Flügel fürs gleiten.
Nen 5-Schweifler? Kann der dann auch die Schweife so auseinanderspreizen wie nen Vogel seine Schwanzfedern?

Ganz genau, sie können die zusammenfalten oder ausbreiten, dadurch ist es leichter für sie sich den Winden anzupassen. Man siehe Ohnezahn mit seiner Metallflosse hinten

Schreibt man halt die Eigenschaften um, als was am Design zu ändern.
Schaut echt toll aus. Der Zweischwanz hat was vonner Rauchschwalbe. ^^
Naja Ohnezahn nutzt die Flosse zum steuern. Auch wenn die Richtungsänderung meiner Meinung nach etwas zu extrem ausfällt an einigen Stellen (wahrscheinlich nur als Lacher gedacht).
Bei den Süßen müsste ja dann die Steuerung wie bei den Vögeln funktionieren. Müssten dann praktisch jeden Schweif kontrollieren können. Zudem müssen die auch ne ziemlich Kraft im Hinterteil/Schwänzen haben. Anders als bei den Schwanzfedern von Vögeln sind die Schwänze und Membranen nicht starr. Da wird nen steuern schwer.
