Well here he is, finally finished! =3I'm rather attached to him now.... he's supposed to be a present for my housemate, but I don't know I can bear to give him away now!
I may do some more fun shots with him at some point.... If anyone has any brilliant ideas, go for it, but as you can probably tell, my photography skills are somewhat lacking!
And he should be making an appearance at expo! By then he may even have gained an overcoat, because there's a pattern for that too! 8D

I've taken a few pictures of him with the equivalent one I made of the Master, and one of the two Doctors and two Masters I'd made at the time (I have now given the others away as presents...)

Yeah, I was really pleased with how the hair turned out because I've not really done anything like that before and it looked quite weird until it was finished....

I've always had a hard time with hair. I keep playing around with different styles and techniques to try to find something I like.

Fair enough. I found this technique to be quite a good one. Crocheting a hair cap and then satin stitching over the top of it in layers to create hair lines, starting at the bottom and working up to the middle. It's good for male hair at least. I need to further investigate for female, but for this one it had exactly the effect needed. The quiff bit was done with loops which I whipstitched to the cap and then cut the tops of to make strands of hair.

He does have shoes, they just happen to be white, and I didn't do any detail on them. They're definitely not skin coloured though.

Cool. I have a couple things going right now. I'm working on another doll like I've made two of already. Well, not completely like the other two. This one is going to be me. I hope. And I started a hat last week because I didn't feel like working on the doll. The hat has got to be the most insanely normal thing I've ever crocheted.

I've made a few sensible things as presents, like some scarves when I first learnt, and a blanket for a friend when she had a baby <3 But the rest of the stuff I've done has been little amigurumi things!
