A day after his confession, you were still wondering when it would be best to talk to him. While you were busy thinking up a plan, Kise had managed to break free from his fan club and rush to your seat, quickly pulling you out of the classroom.

“(Y/n)-cchi-” He started as soon as the two of you were out of sight.

You slapped a hand against his mouth, muffling his words, a flustered expression on your face as you explained. “Kise, I know what you’re going to say! I’m ready with my answer…” He looked at you, his eyes widened, waiting for what you were going to say.

“I love you too…” After a few seconds you continued the sentence, “…much.”

He stopped with his muffled sentences, and without warning, gently brushed his lips against the palm of your hand. Feeling his smile against your hand, you quickly withdrew. Satisfied with what he had done, he held your hands and pulled you closer.

“What I wanted to say wasn’t related to your answer, (Y/n)-cchi! But I’m really, really glad you said that!” He said with a wide smile and a flushed face. He continued to bring you closer to him.

Unaware of his actions, you were wondering what he could’ve been trying to say.

He smiled at you, knowing exactly what you wanted to know, “I just wanted to tell you that whatever your reply was, I’ll make sure to save you from anything, or anyone, that gets in your way!” he said, after a careful scan of the area.

“And in return, I just want you to stay close.” He asked of you, his hand slipping something into yours in one quick movement.

It was a handwritten promise, written as neatly as he could; ‘I’ll always be there for you.’
