DevArt didn't notify me when you tagged for some reason so I only saw it once I read your note Anyway this is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! umf I love how you shaded her horns and she looks so serene and peaceful. The shadows everywhere and the different textures are really really pretty!!! Legit this is one of the nicest gifts I've ever gotten <3 (Also I love the swirl texture in her ear!)Β 

Also I didn't realize your birthday was on April 17th, happy late birthday!! I may have to whip something up ^_^Β

Thanks, so glad you like it! I was going for a Celtic look. And then the wispy things are supposed to be seaweed but kind of look like tentacles to represent her name. I guess I was going for an overall eerie feeling. Like a creature appearing out of the deep. Something weird must be happening with the notifications because moonfiire didn't get my birthday present to her either till I noted her. :/

yeah, I loved that! How the wispy things (oooh they do look like slender tentacles now that you mention it) and the shadows made her look mysterious almost, as if she really was a kraken lurking in the deep. I think you really nailed the overall effect! I wish I could favorite this like 10 times over

Not at the moment but I do open requests once in a while,Β  usually when I want to be challenged on ways I can approve I ask for ideas or characters to test a new technique on.Β  And thanks!

Thanks! I did try a different technique than I normally do. Instead of using aΒ  black outline I used a shade darker than the main colour and then threw in highlights to make the lines stand out more.
