But wasn't Martel the spirit of the new tree? I guess the spirit would have to be separate from the tree itself then. I always thought that Martel existed within or around the tree.

Actually that does seem to be the case. I first thought that Martel being the spirit of the tree meant she more or less was directly connected to it, but that would mean one could not exist separate from the other.

Ratatosk exists separately from the old world tree, so that's clearly not the case. And Lloyd said himself that he at least believed that Mithos WAS the world tree itself. That's what he said to Emil. So it would seem Yuan is in fact watching over both of his old friends.

In writing Excidium I've come to find out that Tales does have a surprisingly consistent internal logic. It seems like they always consider past examples when they write their material.

Which is perfect because there are times that I don't have money available (like I already exhausted most of my personal spending allotment for October because of Zestiria). Thanks! <3 Most of what I have in mind are Tales stuff because Tales has stolen my soul. Though, I have like 4-5 ideas to decide between (probably will commission them all eventually) so I have to see which one I want next. I look forward to next time!

Yeah, I made sure that I was getting the CE version for Zestiria because I want those cute little figures. And I also realized that they were going to make a guide like they did with Xillia 2 so I had to order that (even if I have already played the game in Japanese and bought the Perfect Guide - I prefer reading stuff in English). I'm happy to hear that! :> I am the same way. Not that I have done anything lately but like most of the stuff I put out is Tales art. I kinda feel bad for other series I like that don't have as large of a fanbase as Tales like Star Ocean and .hack and anytime I want to draw something for them, I end up with Tales instead. oTL
