Description
Name: Feliciano Abbiati Jr.
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9"
Nationality: Italian
Personality:
Feliciano’s moral guidelines are built around respect—the level of respect with which he has for people determines the kinds of mannerisms he’ll have around them. His unbiased character is very quiet, though, and he tends to be very friendly, albeit often blunt and to the point. Smalltalk drive him mad, and so even with people he doesn’t know he’ll prefer deeper topics of conversation,
Generally, mutual levels of respect are those of which he is the most friendly around; he feels no pressure to act a certain way in order to adjust the level of respect that they have of him. If he holds an awful lot of respect in a person, on the other hand, he will do anything he can to impress them and try to gain acceptance in their eyes. This is a side of him that becomes intensely competitive, even to the point of being ruthless so long as it helps him achieve that goal. To the person’s face, he’ll be well-overly formal, attentive, and humble in his speech and gesture. Those with which he has little respect for receive opposite treatment—he’ll be rude, blow them off, and probably try to make them dislike him so that they can just stop bothering him entirely.
From the outside he seems to be a very independent individual, but quite the opposite is usually true, as he inadvertently grew to rely on other people for his happiness.
Biography:
Born and raised in northern Italy, his family lived just out of the city of Cremona. His father was the head waiter at a local restaurant, and his mother worked for a large company in the city, often keeping her away from home days at a time; two years after Feliciano was born, his younger brother Cecilio followed. Cecilio was a very rowdy child, whereas Feliciano was quiet and seemingly mature, even from a young age; he was thusly tagged as “the responsible one” and more than often required to babysit his brother while both parents worked. Because of this, he developed some habits as a shut-in, bound home by obligation. He really wasn’t that responsible, though, keeping confined to his room while his brother was left unsupervised to do what he may.
That changed as they grew older, though, for Cecilio was very outgoing and sociable and was rarely home when he started going out with friends consistently. This created a very empty household, to the point where Feliciano would go out either on his own or with others, simply to escape the solitary echoes. He wasn’t necessarily very cordial, but friend groups from school would accept him in unconditionally, if only to add to their numbers to raise their status in the social hierarchy.
During his first year of high school over a break, he met Merce—a Spanish girl about his age who came with her family to Cremona on holiday. They had met entirely by accident, having gone to a cafe to buy lunch and unknowingly sat down at the same table. He had been immediately smitten by her just from a look at her eyes, and ultimately ended up buying her lunch if she would continue to sit with him. They had difficulty communicating, as they didn’t speak each other’s languages, but the similarities between the two gave them limited abilities to do so.
They spent two days together before she returned home; they would meet on her trip every year for the next few years, keeping in minimal contact via text and email while they were apart and learning little blurbs of each other’s tongues. Feliciano was head over heels for her, always going to extravagant measures whenever she visited; unbeknownst to him, though, to Merce he was just That Friend From Italy. She knew of his feelings, but never commented on them.
After high school, he was to travel abroad to study in America—on their meeting that year, shortly before he was to finish up the year and depart, she finally acknowledged her awareness of his feelings for her, but she could not return them. She claimed that she loved another man, and that she wouldn’t be visiting him in Cremona anymore; though she left him with a rosary that she’d had from childhood. With it, she spoke that while she couldn’t give him her heart, she could give him a piece of it. Crushed by the encounter, he was forced to accept her decision, though he was left never knowing if it was all so simple as that, and not difficulties on her side forcing this to happen.
With a broken spirit and an unclear path for the future, he traveled to America to attend university to pursue a degree in Engineering Graphics.
Magical Name: Beaded Sky
Color: Cyan (Additive)
Quote: "Tirare la corda ("Pull the string")!"
Heart Gem:
Merce's Rosary -
A five-decade rosary he received from the girl he loved. The rosary itself is nothing particularly special; the beads are made of plastic, and the metal cross is lightweight and inexpensive. She gave it to him when they parted for the final time; refusing to abandon her memory, he keeps it with him always. It stands as a representation of the strongest emotions that Feliciano has, leading it to have been an appropriate mount for his Heart Gem.
Angelus:
[Valana], [ Blue Jay → Ace Jay → Phoenix Jay ], [♀]
Angelus Bio:
A timekeeper on Angellion, Valana organized many of the goings-on, keeping everything run by a highly specific schedule. She always became very ruffled when things wouldn’t go exactly according to that schedule, and despite a calmer exterior, she’d internally be very uptight and her head would explode if something didn’t go as planned. One thing she certainly had not planned for was the siege upon Angelus, and had nearly gone berserk in a fit of panic as the Mistress sent her away in an escape pod. Distraught and frustrated, she drifted for a long time, trying just to find a planet with any sort of life—after what felt like a lifetime of aimless trek, she crash-landed upon Earth in the heights of the Appalachian mountains, weak and undiscovered. From there, she headed down, beginning to scope out the humans in an attempt to find a partner, making her way to the city before too long. The unplanned direction and spontaneous nature of her exploration threatened to drive her off her rocker, and her impatience to settle down with a partner and rest grew overwhelming.
Encounter:
Shortly after Feliciano had settled in the United States had he begun to notice a blue bird following him. He’d never seen a Blue Jay, as the jays in Europe were of paler color, which is what made it stick out. As much as he tried to dismiss it, it continued to happen, though his decisive thought that it was certainly following him happened in the spring. Upon opening the window of his apartment to enjoy a bit of the weather, the bird had appeared on its sill. Proceeding an exasperated sigh, he asked it what it was, to which it then replied, “What are you?” From there, Valana revealed herself as an Angelus, explaining that she’d been scouting Feliciano to see if he would make a good partner, observing his character and finding that he would be suitable. Feliciano, recently crushed by rejection and feeling rather lost, carefully agreed and exchanged a piece of his heart for the chance at a direction.
Present:
Since Feliciano is alone in his apartment, he doesn’t mind having Valana for company; however, she is very noisy and tends to distract him from his work, enjoying perching on the top of his head and watching what’s going on below. He constantly tries to tell her to stay at home when he goes out, but she will consistently follow him around, “in case something happens.”
Weapon:
--> Name: Perlfrus
--> Description: The named derived from Perlina Frusta, “Bead Whip;” it has a leather-bound grip with a bladed hilt, while the five-foot whip is lined with bright cyan beads and is primarily a medium-range weapon. By pulling a trigger on the hilt, he can release all of the beads, where they’ll then slide off. It can only be done once per fight, as the beads cannot be reattached manually. As of the current, the beads have no function.
Magical Move:
--> Name: [SKILL —> BUFF ] Alertness
--> Description: With a fierce crack of the whip, a small sonic tremor will alert allies and boost their attack for fifteen seconds. The effect’s duration reduces if the target(s) cannot hear or are out of earshot.
Trivia:
- Hates the fact that he has the "Jr..” Will never introduce himself with it, let it be known that he has that title, or allow anyone to even so much as think about referring to him that way if he can help it. Finds it disgustingly embarrassing.

- Expensive tastes in wristwatches.
- Speaks English as a second language; his grammar and vocabulary are proficient enough, but he has a very strong accent that can be hard to hear through.
