Description
I figured since i was away from dA for so long it was kinda' like i was hiding..so right after i logged in for the first time in weeks i drew this. Symbolising that im back or something? haha excuse the poor wording
Drawn with Faber-Castell graphite pencils
- this drawing is rushed (as usual) haha, because i wanted to submit an artwork to you guys as soon as possible to make up! was really fun to finally draw again

It's good to have you back, AppleBeard. I'm definitely seeing a marked improvement in your technique. You nailed the shading on her neck, cheek, forehead, and the hair behind her ear. The shading on her hair is a bit slapdash but it doesn't really matter, seeing how her hair is a bit frizzy. The only other comments I can really make are that the lines making up the edges of her hair are a bit rough, and that her irises could be a darker black. Excellent work and welcome back!

When I need to darken parts of my drawings to an inky black (like pupils for example, NOT irises like I erroneously stated in my last comment. Good job at correcting that mistake, by the way) I simply press the lead of my pencil into the paper a good deal harder and fill in an area with small circular strokes, though this can backfire somewhat by creating a slight imprint on the page beneath. I admit though, I've never had to fill in a space as big as any of these ponies' pupils so perhaps the act of darkening them would bring forth an unforeseen problem. It's completely up to you whether you'd like to try my advice or not, so please don't feel obligated to change your style if it doesn't quite fit.
Draw something for me? It would be an honor, AppleBeard! I'm certainly not going to demand a drawing or pressure you in any way but if you'd really like to draw me something, that would be absolutely fantastic. Drawing ponies is your forte, so I would love to see a drawing of the background pony named Cloudchaser! (One of my favorite ponies, due to having a great design and a name that I'd been using for several years before) The design of the drawing itself is something I'd leave entirely up to you. Please keep in mind that this drawing is completely optional and I won't think any less of you if you decide not to do it. By the way, if I were to ever draw another pony, which one would you like to see most? Thanks!

As for which pony i'd like to see you draw most? ... hmmm well for me i tend to draw fluttershy more just because I like how she is introverted and is a lover of wildlife, which i can relate to. So i guess you should just draw whichever pony you feel you can relate to most! I do love seeing traditional drawings of Applejack! haha
