Hello, hello! So many projects in the works! Took a break to start on this. I've been meaning make this guy for a while now
Right now, he's just a little mushroom head

Are you felting on fur or brushing out the yarn ones is been crocheted? He looks great so far!

It looks to me like the top of his head has been brushed out after crocheting, while the face-mask, nose and muzzle were purely felted on ^^

Needle felting onto crochet or knit work is actually pretty easy! You don't even need to buy the special roving wool - you can just bush out the yarn you have on hand and use that (or even leave it in the strand, depending on what texture you want!). All you need is a bit of patience to get it as beautifully clean and solid as aphid777's. My one tip is to have plenty of needles when you start out, because they break easy until you get used to them
