This is Gilbert from "Kaze to Ki no Uta", one of the best yaoi mangas ever, if not THE best ever^^~The boy is an epitome of beauty and fragility of thereof~
I tried to render it in my own style and hope you enjoy~

Yeh, sadly the animation is based on only first two volumes or so of a 17 volume manga ^^. and of course manga is not available in English.
But it's really good, well for the record - first ever yaoi to actually talk about sexual themes. Author is Takemiya Keiko - if you'd like to look it up. Recently her other work had been adapted into animation TERRA E... not yaoi though.

With US puritan views manga will hardly ever be translated, but anime is also not legal and in very poor quality and only tells like first volume of the 17 volume story...

Iβve seen the anime and I also read the first 4 volumes of the manga (thatβs all you can find in English). Youβre right, the anime is too short but itβs more than nothing for those who canβt read Japanese since the manga will never be officially translated.

Oh yess, Gilbert is one of the most aesthetic and decadent characters ever written, and how GOOD he is written. One of my top faves of al times.

hell, yeah! kaze too ki no uta was the first yaoi/BL manga I ever heard about. but I couldn't find it anywhere (I mean, I was 13... XD) so I started to read other stuff *cough* and now, one year ago I finally found it. The anime is nice, too... but they left out some of my favourite scenes... >.<
you're completely right to use the word "decadent" for Edward. it's like the boy was made for this word and it's meaning... a dekadent, tender flower that had been crushed too young... oh my gosh, I'm pants in trying not to sound hilarious! XD... but I hope you got my message.^^
