Oh yes. Howl was stuck in a bottle, and Sophie was turned into a cat along with their newborn son. I liked reading Castle in the Air.

Wait Castle in the air is after Howls Moving Castle? I thought House of Many Ways was!

House of many way is the third book. Think about it: Morgan is about two in house of many ways. In Castle in the air he is just born...

I never read it though, I was just asking because I just ordered House of Many Ways thinking it was the direct sequel 
Btw, I do love the picture though and I'm sure I'll love it more once I read the book
