Very cool effect. How long have you been using watercolors? You have lots of very neat techniques.

oh id say about 10 yrs now. i used to only use acrylics all through high school and a few years after. then i had a crossover period where i was better in acrylics but dabbling in watercolors. i used to think of watercolors as a kids medium. but i began to see some really cool effects in watercolor paintings that i had a hard time recreating in acrylics. im still exploring them now and im constantly amazed by the diversity of texture color and the blending you can acheive in watercolors. its my prefered medium by far. but i still use acrylic mostly on statuary and walls. and ive done a few oil paintings too. im not bad at oils they work similar to watercolors, but i dont feel completely comfortable using them.

I see. All I can manage is photography, phto-manips, and a few seldom ink based pieces. I've been trying out charcoal, but i dont ahve the patience for anything with slow results. Hence why i go for photo .

i like to use oil pastels or pastels when i desire a quick piece, but charcoals also suit that role. i also do fast loose pencil sketches that can be refined into finished paintings.
