This is actually inspiring! I could write a scene in a sci-fi novel that would describe this setting.

Jesus christ you really have some great ideas. This looks exactly what i imagine the powerful enemy emporer or general to have their throne inside of.
It looks really omninous and threatening. In the middle of what could be an old or freshly created battlefield its just a really amazing and even scary in some ways. added it to favorites!

Actually that rough edge along with the great lighting is what i love in your images. A painting is not a photograph, and should not try to become one. I think this hyperrealism trend in movies and games is the wrong direction. With leaving things a little blurred or not completely worked out in a painting you leave that for the viewer to imagine, and in that make a far stronger impression. Realism, with all its neat and clean details is for the eyes, painting is for the heart

Your skill with light and color is dazzling. As is your ability to make objects so well so quickly. I'm still able to imagine just what they would look like if real.
If I'm correct, large building with lights, high roadway with supports on the building, ruins of an older city below, with powerlines or something similar in foreground.
The only thing that confuses me is the debris on the left side in the background - is it in the air? An explosion? Or simply in the distance? Another piece of the ruins?

It's not your technical execution as much as it is your creation of a world, that has story and character and background potential in every element, that floors me.

Do you miss doing your own stuff or is your work fulfilling enough. I was just curious because this is so amazing and it seems like you had a lot of fun while painting it. I guess one of the good qualities a concept artist must have is the ability to get excited about everything he paints. (I'm writing this near a cup of coffee and a hep of drawings I must finish today) Thanks for this kick of inspiration.

It still frightens me that you can lay shit like this down in 45 minutes. Is there any chance of you doing a screen cap video on your next speed paint? I'd love to watch your workflow....it's either that or I break into your house and hide in your closet and watch you do your next one in person. I know I have you worried now Gary, so y'know do the screen cap and this whole break and enter situation can be avoided.
Don't worry, I'm just kidding....but seriously, make the video.
