Uhh, it conveys nothing. War is a bad thing. In "Modern" wars casualties have large numbers. But it tells you nothing about why these wars happened. It tells you nothing about how or why these people died. In the Great War, most casualties were from Influenza.
How many would have died that year without the war. I don't know and neither do you.
War is bad but there is something worse, having nothing you would be willing to die for.

they're from wikipedia

when i say official i don't impy that these are the correct numbers..the real number may as well be the double. There's a specific way in which they record the deaths. If for example you migrate to a country without papers and you die in a war in that country you'll probably not be in these numbers..
