This picture editing include:
-skin smoothing
-skin color reworked
-hair color enhancement
-various color and lightings on the eyes
-clothes sharpness
-Special treatment on the leather part
-special light on the leather parts
-Sword clarity
-Multi blurred background
New shadows on the edges
-Overal color tweak (vairous blue + various wihte)
-overall Sharpness boost

the ''hamon'' is the wavering line between the part of the blade that cuts and the middle part.
often wire-brushed on low-end katana (fake), but can also be true when due to clay added on the back part of the blade during tempering. a ''natural'' hamon can also exist in some swords where this line is much less wavery and much more subtle (sometimes requiering expert lighting to reveal).
you can also look on ''anatomy of a katana'' pictures easily found on google if I was not clear enough
