This is my [ridiculous] entry for #PKMN-Battle-Frontier , so BEWARE.

Lionel Bear, Age 28: A self-proclaimed "MAN'S MAN" from Azalea town, he's inclined towards long walks in the mountains, wrassling Ursarings (not training them), sitting under waterfalls, and eating things that he shouldn't. As a Pokemon trainer, he's a bit of a Charles Atlas Superpower. After years of being mocked for using weak or silly Pokemon, he decided to set out to the Battle Frontier with his well-trained team, to prove that one can be strong with any team, as long as he or she trains hard enough.

His carried items vary from time to time... but he always has a Slowpoke tail to chew on, enough Fresh Water to heal a pod of Wailords, and a huge pile of berries and apricorns.

Amayirah is one of his rare Pokemon from outside of Johto. Caught in Hoenn's Victory Road, he's an impressive mass of muscle who can seem just as obsessed with fighting as his master.... in fact, a bit too much. His Guts and tenacity led Bear to realize that burning his Hariyama up a bit would make him even more powerful. Pretty much a clone of his trainer.

Orochi is a bit of a spaced-out, airy-fairy Seviper most of the time. Despite his vicious and sinister looks, he's really a friendly, nature-loving Pokemon, and even a bit of a coward. This meant, of course, that no self-respecting criminal would go near him, and only a criminal would care to raise a Seviper in the first place. Well, a criminal or LIONEL BEAR. Bear took him in and trained him to be an efficient battler in addition to being a loyal friend, and now they're inseparable.

Cantaloup was Bear's first Pokemon ever. She's a shy and modest Furret who often hides her face in her tail out of embarrassment, and doesn't like getting too close to other Pokemon. Bear used this as an opportunity to train her to support his fragile Parasect, Kojiro. She's also one of Bear's swimming partners.

Shipp is a bit of an oddball Ninetales. He's the offspring of Bear's first Ninetales and a Smeargle, and he really shows it in his attitude and style. For one, he knows Energy Ball, an odd and out-of-place grass move. Second, he's a bit green around the edges, to the point that the Miracle Seed he carries has begun to sprout. Shipp himself is just as quirky as all of this would suggest: he seems to think of himself as a Smeargle, and a prank-oriented one at that. Bear, of course, adores him.

Kojiro is Bear's favorite Pokemon, and could be called his signature teammate. He's a shy Parasect saddled with a reckless daredevil of a mushroom, and thus often seems conflicted. One moment, he'll be rushing into battle, the next, cowering in fear. At least his dorky headband protects him a bit... His split personality is endearing to trainer and team alike, and thus Lusi, Cantaloup, and Bear are all supportive of his efforts to the point of overprotectiveness.

Lusi is a Lapras who only joined the team for Kojiro's sake. Bear camped for a week in Union Cave to catch him, but found that he was less than cooperative about being captured. Only when Bear swapped in his Parasect did the Lapras calm down. In fact, it became downright docile! It seemed that there was a sort of strange "love at first sight" going on! So now Lusi always fights alongside Kojiro, healing him with Rain Dance and Surf.
