Such innocence and tenderness. Young love is blossoming. This picture warms my heart. BB always tries to reach out to Raven even when she pulls away, but finally it looks like she is giving him a chance to share his feelings with her. She doesn't even mind putting down her book to listen to what he has to say. I really like their expressions, especially their eyes that are just brimming with emotion, almost so much that they spill secrets of endless yearning. I also like the delicate and gentle placement of the hands; it shows their hesitance but also their mindfulness of each other's boundaries. BB never forces himself on Raven because he truly cares about her. HeΒ is always a perfect gentleman.Β Wonderful work! <3Β

I love that these two belong together. Believe me, I wish this happened in the series, like a lot of people do. I love that Beast Boy does care a lot about Raven, even when she thinks she feels that she always needs to be alone. It maybe true that Beast Boy annoys Raven most of the time, but there are those times when they really need each other. I love the episode "Spellbound" because I feel it's probably the closest they've felt with each other in forever. I also began to love Raven's character a little more too.
I love Beast Boy's character for a lot of reasons, and one of them is that Beast Boy doesn't need to be the smart one to understand how people feel in some part. I believe a lot of that comes from his heart, and that I believe is what matters.

When I look at Beast Boy and Raven's friendship, it seems to strike me as a "brother and sister" kind of relationship. Beast Boy's the silly, goofy little brother; Raven's the sarcastic, gothic older sister. I remember when I first watched the series, their friendship sometimes needed some work(a LOT of work) in a way. But when I look at far they seem to have come, I kind of had this feeling, maybe they were meant to be together. In my mind, I think Beast Boy always wanted to be with Raven. He always wanted to be close to her, even when it seems she doesn't want it. Raven, it seemed obvious too, that she never wants much to do with him (obviously), but given her situation with being a half-demon, I'm guess it hasn't been easy for her. Especially when she herself wants to be close to her friends.
One thing does make sense, Beast Boy never wants to give up on being close to Raven, and I believe she FEELS the same way.
